Wentworth Parish Council Celebrates Completion of New Community Pavilion Following 1,250 Hours of Volunteer Leadership by the chair of the Parish Council. Wentworth Parish Council is proud to announce the official completion of the new Wentworth Pavilion, a community facility designed to serve local residents, sports clubs, and event organisers for generations to come.
The successful completion of the project marks a significant milestone for the village, driven by the Parish Council. To ensure the highest standards of construction while maintaining strict budget oversight, The Chair personally contributed over 1,250 hours of voluntary project management. Working directly alongside the main contractors, the chair oversaw day-to-day site operations, contract management, and quality control from ground-breaking to final handover.
This newly refurbished pavilion represents what can be achieved when the parish council and community takes direct ownership of its future, . By managing the project internally alongside our skilled contractor team, we ensured every pound spent delivered maximum value for our residents. We are excited to welcome parishioners and the public to this wonderful new space.
The new pavilion features modern facilities, updated changing rooms, a small kitchen and energy-efficient amenities suitable for private functions, local club meetings, fitness classes, and community gatherings.
